Aaron Smith, Rob Spratley and Henry Stone all nominated

The positive news keeps coming for Southampton Women's FC as three of our coaches have received a nomination in the England Football Grassroots Football Awards.

First Team Manager Aaron Smith, Rob Spratley and Henry Stone have been nominated for an award for their work and efforts during the 2021/22 season.

It was the club's first full season in three years as football got back to normality following the pandemic and these nominations are great rewards for the hard work and dedication put in by coaches at Southampton.

Smith is working towards his UEFA A Licence and won the FA Women's National League manager of the month for Tier 4 in April whilst also competing in a competitive league where he has developed the environment at the senior level of the club.

Spratley and Stone were new coaches in the Youth with the former only beginning his coaching career in the summer of 2021.

Both have worked tirelessly this season with the two under-12 teams and have created fun, enjoyable environments for each of their teams.

Congratulations to all three on a great season and a well-deserved nomination.

The nominations come in a week that also saw Stone earn a place on the UEFA B Licence course alongside under-13s manager Neil Senneck.
