Davies arrives from Worthing

Davies arrives from Worthing

Aaron Smith8 Feb - 08:00

Amelia Davies becomes a Siren

Our latest signing is Amelia Davies who comes to us from another club in our league. Davies moves across from Worthing FC where she made 10 appearances scoring 1 goal. The centre back, who can also play in midfield is a ferocious striker of the ball and a great tackler.

Davies' previous clubs include Portsmouth, West Brom and Bristol City. Away from football she is training to be a paramedic at Portsmouth University.

Davies told us "I decided to join Sirens as I think it will be a good opportunity for me to play more minutes in tier 4. I met James during pre-season at Cheltnham and I liked his coaching style. I'm excited to play again alongside players I've been with at previous clubs".

James replied "We are happy to get this deal done. Having seen Amelia previously I was impressed with her. She is able to play in a couple of positions which is what we look for in our recruitment".

Davies will be available for selection Sunday and will be wearing the number 15 shirt this season. She is available for sponsorship and enquiries of any sponsorship should be directed to sotonwomenscommercial@gmail.com.
