Southampton Women’s Football Club can confirm the departure of Reserves Manager Nathan Baker.

Baker joined the club in 2023, and led the Reserves to their most successful season to date.

We are grateful and proud of Baker’s and the Reserves’ achievements, and we wish him the best in his future endeavours.

In light of Baker’s departure, we can confirm the appointment of Gav Calder as Reserves Manager for 2024/25.

Calder worked with Baker this season as Head Coach, and helped the team to a semi-final finish in the FAWNL Reserves Plate.

“After a successful season, I am excited to be taking on the role as manager,” Calder said.

“Being able to continue to develop, support and coach this team is something that I am passionate about. I can’t wait for the season to start.”
