The former Swindon Town Women’s Manager joins the Sirens

Southampton Women’s FC are delighted to confirm the appointment of Jamie Lloyd Davies as First Team Manager.

Lloyd Davies previously spent four years at Swindon Town where he was a pivotal part of the development of the club on and off the field which included the 2022 Wiltshire County Cup win.

He has a host of football experience having worked with Weston-Super-Mare AFC, Bristol City Academy and Wiltshire FA.

Lloyd Davies currently holds his UEFA B Licence but is at present working towards his UEFA A.

The Sirens committee said: “Jamie showed great professionalism during his interview and shares the same values and vision as the club.

"We were excited by his drive and passion for the women's game and for the project that we have in place here at Southampton and wanting to push the club to the next level.

“With his background and wealth of knowledge, we truly believe that he is the right person to lead the team as the club enters a new and exciting era.”

Lloyd Davies has already met with the Senior teams as they returned for pre-season training earlier in the week and work has already begun looking ahead to the new campaign.

Southampton Women's FC would also like to extend our thanks to Alex Rigby who stepped in as Caretaker Manager during this period.
