Kellie Warren is only the second player since 2009 to have reached 150 First Team appearances for Southampton Women's FC.
The midfielder turned centre-back first took to the field back on Sunday, September 18th 2011 in a Southern Region league match and over the course of two stints has worn the red and black 151 times in competitive matches.
Warren reached that lofty landmark on January 16th against Crawley Wasps in the FA Women's National League Cup.
Recently the club presented Warren with a commemorative framed club shirt, which the defender had worn during the 2019/20 season where the team reached the Fourth Round of the Women's FA Cup.
On reaching the milestone she said: "I feel proud to have represented the club for so long. The club has such a special place in my heart.
"I have grown so much as a player here, made some absolutely incredible memories that I'll treasure forever and also made some amazing lifelong friends who once started as just teammates.
"It is a great achievement for me and I am honoured that the club has believed in me for so long."
It was over 10 years ago that Warren first put on a Southampton Women's shirt as she started in a 3-3 draw against Wycombe Wanderers alongside other club legends in Amie Harding, Kirsty Bell, Jane Yeates and Emma Bottomley.
"In my time I have had two stints with the club," Warren said.
"I don't remember too much from my first game the first time around (that was an age ago) but in my second stint, my first game was against Winchester City Flyers at Wide Lane when Fran Alonso was manager.
"We won that game and I got player of the match, that was the start of a banging career at the club."
While Warren's achievements span over 10 years the defender did have two seasons away from the club before returning and helping the team achieve the desired goal of promotion to Tier 4.
She has also been integral to the recent FA Cup runs which saw the team reach the Fourth Round in 2020.
Reflecting on those seasons she said: "That was an amazing year and a great season when we won promotion.
"The team was like my second family and I loved every minute.
"Everyone just worked so hard for each other and we won everything. It's a season I will never forget.
"The Third Round of the FA Cup against West Brom was definitely one of the best performances I have ever put in.
"Also the next round against Crystal Palace. That was such a huge day for me and for the club in general, especially with the history the club has with the FA Cup."
Warren has been playing football for some time and with a couple of recent injuries, it could have been easy for the experienced defender to call time on her career.
"If you had asked me this before this season then I would say no way," she reflects.
"But having had a million injuries this season, it has crossed my mind many times.
"It will depend on how my knee holds up but I will definitely play for as long as I can.
"I don't know my life and can't imagine my life without football, to be honest, so it will be weird.
"Who knows what the future holds, maybe I will become part of a coaching team, I don't know.
"Let's just wait and see."
As a club, we will wait and see what the future brings for Kellie Warren and the club.
Congratulations to Kellie and here's to many more appearances!
