Aaron Smith has left the club after four years

Southampton Women’s FC can confirm that Aaron Smith will leave his role as First Team Manager with immediate effect.

Smith confirmed his decision to depart the club after four years on Sunday evening to progress his career in the women’s game.

The committee has accepted Smith’s decision and thank him for all his time and effort since he re-joined the club in May 2019.

Smith guided the team to the Fourth Round of the Women’s FA Cup in 2019, a first ever FA Women’s National League Plate Semi-Final as well as ending his four years winning the SDFA Cup in April.

Everyone at Southampton Women’s FC wishes Aaron Smith the best of luck in his future endeavours.

In the interim, the club has appointed Alex Rigby as caretaker manager while we search for a new manager.

Anyone wishing to apply for the role of the First Team Manager please send in your CV to sotonwomenschair@gmail.com.
