Emison Evans joins the Sirens

New striker Emison Evans has been speaking to our writer Shea Lucas around why she has come over to the club.

"Having played for Bristol City U21 Academy and being selected for England Colleges National Squad for the past few seasons, I recently decided to further my footballing journey by joining Bristol Rovers WFC.

I have joined the Sirens to gain more experience and develop myself as a striker. I hope to help the team earn some more points in their remaining league games.

I’m really looking forward to working with the coaches and players and being part of the team!"

Evans has impressed already at training and has shown a true hunger to score goals. She has previously played for England Colleges with our number 2 Kaitlyn Cousens, so she already has a friendly face at the club.

When asked about his latest signing manager James Lally said "I first saw Emison play several years ago when I was managing the Swindon Town Development Team. She was up against our U16 side, and right away, her speed stood out. But what really impressed me was her technical ability and footballing intelligence—qualities that aren't always found in players with that much pace. After promoting her to the first team at Swindon, she quickly proved herself, scoring several important goals that made a real difference. It’s exciting to see her now joining our squad, and I’m confident she’ll bring that same skill and impact to the team.

We welcome Emison and her family to our club and thank Bristol Rovers for making the transfer as smooth as possible.
