Southampton Women's FC are delighted to welcome Lexie Peattie to the Sirens ahead of the new season.
A highly-rated young prospect, Peattie joins the club as she prepares to make the exciting transition from youth football into the senior women's game.
Lexie began her football journey at the age of 11 when she joined Atalanta, before spending the last two seasons developing her game with Pompey in the Community. Alongside her club football, she represented her county team throughout the past season and previously spent two years with the JPL Representative Team, showcasing her ability against some of the country's best young players.
Now, the talented youngster is ready to take the next step in her career as she embarks on her first season in women's football.
"I can't wait to get the season started. This is a big step up for me from youth football, so I am excited for the challenge."
First Team Manager Aaron Smith believes Peattie's potential is clear to see and is excited to help develop the next stage of her career.
"We have a long history of developing players at the club and helping them progress up the pyramid. Lexie is a player that I spotted at some youth trials, and she instantly stood out to me.
"This will be her first year in senior football, but I can assure you that she will be a player who will be much sought after over the coming years. Physically strong and quick, with a wonderful first touch, I am over the moon that Lexie has chosen us this season over several other clubs."
Everyone at Southampton Women's FC would like to welcome Lexie to the club and wish her every success in her first season as a Siren.
