Southampton Women's FC

A new force in midfield.

Southampton Women’s FC are delighted to announce the dual signing of Aime Chiddle, who joins the Sirens from Moneyfields Women’s ahead of the 2026/27 campaign.

The talented midfielder becomes the latest addition to Aaron Smith’s squad as preparations continue for the new season, bringing with her valuable academy experience and an impressive grounding in the women’s game.

Aime spent seven years within the Southampton FC Academy between 2017 and 2024, developing her game within a high-level environment before making the step into senior football.

Following her time in the academy system, Aime joined Moneyfields Women Reserves, where she has spent the last two seasons continuing her development. She played her part in an excellent campaign last season as Moneyfields Reserves secured the league title.

Her progress also earned her opportunities at first-team level, with Aime making her Moneyfields Women’s first-team debut at just 17 years old on 12 October 2025.

Now, the midfielder will continue her development with the Sirens through a dual signing agreement, giving her further opportunities to gain valuable senior experience.

Speaking on her move to the Sirens, Aime said:

”I’m happy to be dual signed with Sirens. It’s a good place to get experience in the women’s game.”

Aime has already offered Sirens supporters a glimpse of what she can bring to the side during pre-season. Her energy and ability to contribute in both areas of the pitch have seen her make an immediate impact, including finding the back of the net in each of the Sirens’ last two pre-season fixtures.

Manager Aaron Smith has been tracking the midfielder for some time and believes her qualities make her a strong fit for the Sirens’ style of play.

“I’ve been tracking Aime for a while and actually reached out to her prior to her signing for Moneyfields. She’s a player that I see a lot of ability in and she suits our game Model. She is a tenacious player who covers lots of ground and reads the game so well. She’s even scored in our last two pre-season fixtures! I’m really looking forward to working with her and want to say thank you to Jack at Moneyfields for allowing this dual signing to happen. We are excited to build a good working relationship between the clubs over the coming season.”

The agreement also marks the beginning of what the Sirens hope will become a positive working relationship between Southampton Women’s FC and Moneyfields, creating opportunities for player development while strengthening links between the two clubs.

With the start of the competitive season fast approaching, Aime adds further quality, energy and depth to the Sirens midfield as Smith continues to shape his squad for the campaign ahead.

Everyone at Southampton Women’s FC would like to welcome Aime to the Sirens and wish her every success for the season ahead.
