Southampton Women’s FC has partnered up with local Public House ‘The Lapstone’ based in Fair Oak.
It follows on from owner Russ Kitching joining the club as Chairman last month and sees two communities come together with the same vision to provide a pathway for girls into football.
The Lapstone offers authentic Italian cuisine and locally sourced ales while also championing local produce and being a corner stone of the community for the past 300 years.
Kitching and his team stepped in to stop The Lapstone from being demolished and recreate the community hub.
Their vision:
“To support local producers and growers with a strong emphasis on good local food and drink, putting Hampshire and in particular the villages of Horton Heath and Fair Oak on the map.”
This season The Lapstone will be sponsoring the First Team’s warm-up tops to be worn ahead of every match in the 2022/23 campaign.
Designed by Kit and Bone the shirts are inspired by the Sea City Museum building in Southampton which has bene championing women’s football throughout the summer during the Women’s Euros.
It fits well with the newly launch club crest also created by the Kit and Bone team with inspiration to our original club badge from the 1970s and a nod to the city’s nautical heritage with the compass shaped surround.
The shirt pattern depicts an abstract illustration of Southampton's famous Sea City Museum building.
Thanks to Kit and Bone you can also own the warm-up top by pre-ordering the shirt on their website here: www.kitandbone.com
No matter where in the world you are when you buy this shirt you're raising funds for the club as a generous portion from each sale will go back to players, staff and infrastructure needed to raise this great club once more.
Back the club and be part of something extraordinary from day one.
