Southampton Women's FC will be looking to bounce back from last Sunday's heavy defeat as they enter the Women's FA Cup.

South West Regional Northern Division side Bitton AFC are the opponents for Jamie Lloyd Davies' side who make the trip to Bristol on Sunday.

The Third Qualifying Round presents a new challenge for the Sirens who have never faced the Tier 6 side before who currently sit fourth in their league.

Bitton come into the fixture on the back of two consecutive losses while Southampton will be hoping to put the 6-1 loss at home to Exeter City behind them with a potential FA Cup triumph.

Form and league positioning can be thrown out the window when it comes to the FA Cup as has been seen over the years and with the increase in the prize money the incentive increasing every year.

Anna Munday and Georgia James have been involved in 12 goals between them the latter the top goalscorer with five goals in seven games alongside two assists.

For the Sirens, Erin Bloomfield scored her third goal of the season last Sunday making it two goals in two games for the former Yeovil Town striker.

She has been involved in seven goals this season as she added assists to her game while attacking midfielder Britt Jeal leads the scoring with four in all competitions including her brace against Portishead Town.

The winner of the Third Qualifying Round heads into the First Round Proper and also wins £4,000 in prize money with the loser earning £1,000.

If after 90 minutes the score is level the game will go straight to penalties with no extra-time being played.

Reserves

Southampton Women's FC Reserves are also back in action as they face AFC Bournemouth Development for the third time this season.

The two sides have already met twice at Test Park once in the FA Women's National League Reserves and then again in the SDFA Cup First Round with the Cherries coming out on top on both occasions.

Nathan Baker's side are without Leah Etheridge who begins her three game ban following a red card against Bournemouth in the SDFA Cup.

The Sirens travel to Verwood Town Football Club to play Bournemouth for the 2:00pm kick-off in the league.
