Sunday's Abobe Women's FA Cup First Round game has been three weeks in the making as Southampton Women's FC head to the capital to face Brentford.

The Tier 6 side plays in the London & South East Regional Women's Division One North alongside Denham United and Clapton Community.

Brentford currently sit seventh in their league but like the Sirens haven't played many league games due to the cup schedule.

Despite the postponements, the Bees do find themselves on a six game unbeaten run in all competitions including three wins in the league and their FA Cup Third Qualifying Round 2-1 over Watford Ladies Development FC.

In their last outing the ran out 4-0 winners over Actonians Reverses thanks to a Chloe Logie hattrick and a goal for Nikki Woods.

For Jamie Lloyd Davies' Southampton, they have been waiting three weeks to put right the wrongs from the 9-0 defeat to Billericay Town in the FA Women's National League Plate.

It was a tough day for the Sirens who found themselves 3-0 down inside 12 minutes against a Billericay side who were clinical in attack and nullified the resistance of the visitors.

In the previous round of the FA Cup Southampton took on Bitton AFC from the South West Regional Division One East.

They ran out 5-0 winners thanks to an Erin Bloomfield brace and goals for Ellie Chaffe, Izzie Thorogood and Britt Jeal.

Bloomfield has since departed. the Sirens to join AFC Bournemouth but Lloyd Davies will look to the likes of Jeal, Meg Wood, Shannon Sievwright, Laura Vokes and Chloe Tucker to get his side into the Second Round.

The two sides know what the reward is for winning on Sunday, £6,000 and a home tie against Maidenhead United.
