Southampton Women's FC will be looking to bounce back from their Adobe Women's FA Cup exit as they are set to host AFC Stoneham in their long-awaited Hampshire Women's Senior Cup tie.

The game should have been played nearly a month ago, but due to postponements in the FA Women's National League Plate and the FA Cup the encounter will see out 2023 for both teams.

AFC Stoneham currently occupy the top spot in the Southern Region Division One South with just one defeat in the league this season and only two losses in all competitions.

Plymouth Argyle were the last side to beat them back in November in the Second Round of the FA Cup. where the tier 3 side ran out 4-2 winners.

Stoneham found themselves 4-0 down but substitutes Mia Delaney and Susani Lucas gave the National League side a late scare as they attempted a comeback that wasn't meant to be.

Last Sunday Stoneham progressed to the next round of the League Cup beating Chesham United Development 5-2 at Stoneham Lane.

There were braces for Lucas and Chloe Melton while Delaney bagged the fifth.

Melton looks the key player for Stoneham having found the next 21 times in 13 games this season and will be familiar to Chloe Tucker who played alongside the forward briefly at Chichester City Ladies.

For the Sirens they will have taken great pride from the first-half against Watford in the FA Cup.

They held the Championship side until the 35th minute when a deep free-kick from Lilly Wellesley-Davies found Britt Jeal who slotted home on the turn for the lead.

There were screams of delight around the ground but Southampton couldn't quite hold out until the break as the Hornets levelled in injury-time.

Watford stepped up the gears as they looked to their bench and brought on their main attacking players to score five more times in the second-half and secure their place in the next round.

The last couple of months have seen the Sirens improve in their performances and results although haven't played a league game 10th October so remain 9th in the table.

In last season's Hampshire Cup Southampton were knocked out in the quarter-finals so Manager Jamie Lloyd Davies will be looking to equal that or get further into the competition.
